See how the bride and groom arrived to get married- the photo went viral

Due to coronavirus, a couple got married wearing a mask and face shield at a gurdwara in Kanpur on Sunday. "Our wedding date was fixed in advance and that's why we enlisted the help of Kanpur District Magistrate Brahmadev Tiwari and senior police officer Anand Dev Tiwari for our wedding," said groom Garvit Narang, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The groom further said that all sorts of precautions were taken for the wedding. Even the vermilion was sanitized. At the same time, all those involved in the wedding were observed social distance and the guests were also kept wearing masks and face shields.

"Such low-cost weddings are good at a time when the prices of all items in the market have gone up," he said. "I never thought my wedding would take place during the lockdown," Aditi said.

A couple tied the knot wearing masks and face shields at a Gurudwara in Kanpur yesterday, in view of pandemic. As per the guidelines of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), gathering of not more than 50 persons is allowed at wedding functions.

Meanwhile, the bridegroom's sister said that the marriage was solemnized following all the guidelines issued by the central government. For social distance, only five members of both our families were present at the gurdwara and all the other relatives were present at the wedding by video conference.
